King of the Concrete is 1st and foremost the anniversary of the Flow From Below breaking crew, which started out in the abandoned ROG factory in the center of Ljubljana. The event has been organized since 2008 by the members of Flow From Below. This year marks the 8th edition of King of the Concrete which will be happening throughout four days in the August heat.
Many local and foreign participants come to enjoy the event each year to experience Ljubljana's vibrant hip hop scene and to get a chance to make new acquaintances and establish connections with its urban artists.
The event features a breaking competition which has a different concept each year as well as a graffiti exhibition and a live concert. The purpose of the event is to promote hip hop culture as means of artistic expression and to connect hip hop artists on a local as well as on an international level.
At King of the Concrete we strive to achieve this in the spirit of positive energy created by the vibe of a crew birthday party.
