Every July, New York City hosts one of the most anticipated annual street dance competitions, LADIES BATTLE! Each summer New York becomes host to some of the best dancers from around the world competing and showcasing their talents. Dancers from Russia, Korea, Austria, Switzerland, and Japan come to perform and battle as part of a weekend of events for Ladies of Hip-Hop Festival.
2015 LADIES BATTLE! Categories are 1-on-1 House, Popping, Waacking, Hip-Hop and Breaking. This year we will be adding an all new 7toSmoke BEST-OF-THE-BEST battle! The winners of each category are invited to battle each other for the ultimate win!
Judging this year we have the amazing Bgirl Shie-chan from Osaka Japan, Along with another stellar year line up of ladies! See Below!
An international challenge where Hip-Hop culture’s favorite dancers come and prove themselves. We will showcase a preliminary round to uncover the best, top sixteen dancers of the evening. Doors open at 1pm sharp! with our DJ’s play, spinning hip-hop, funk, house, soul, and classics. Featuring the sounds DJ Kaotic Blaze & DJ Sabine Blaizin.
The winners will be awarded a LOHHF LADIES BATTLE! trophy, a cash prize and one-year “bragging rights”. The winner can boost themselves as one of the world’s best female Hip-Hop dancers! The event is judged by a panel of elite dancers form around the world, like Tweetboogie, Nubian NeNe, Spicey and many more…This event produced by Ladies of Hip-Hop Festival. Come spend the week with us and watch extraordinary performances, Hip-Hop celebrity-dance judges, powerful, exhilarating and action-packed battles that will all be documented for cultural preservation.
