Once again we are proud to announce that we are bringing back the Hip Hop Rodeo! Due to last years successful turnout and support from all over the North West. Hip Hop enthusiasts gathered at Central Washington University to express their love for Hip Hop through various elements of Hip Hop culture; DJing/Turntablism, Breakin’, Graffiti Art/Writing, and MCing/Rapping. Through these elements the main mission of the Hip Hop Rodeo is to provide a space for creativity and expression as well as providing a broad range of diversity and inclusivity amongst individuals. This community event is proudly sponsored by the Student Campus Activity Faculty, as well as other sponsors at Central Washington University campus including The Center for Diversity and Social Justice, Dining Services, Hype and Redbull.
Further Info: The jam will be hosted outside of the Student Union and Recreation Center (SURC) east patio. The jam will be co-running with student appreciation day which includes many on campus activities for students and community members.
The Hip Hop Rodeo will again have a 1 V 1 open bboy/bgirl battle as well as a Freestyle/Allstyle open battle. Sign ups can be online or at the door. We will also have an invitational only graffiti art contest from some of the illest local talented writers around the 509. Further details will be provided as the jam date approaches.
