School of Breaking, Booster Breaks, Generation BBoy & Focus (SMK) present King of Hearts 7 - Colorado's 7th annual Breakdance Competition and a Cypher Jam.
Prepare for the rawest King of Hearts yet. The music, scene, vibe, and Colorado Breaking community will take you on a journey back to the golden days of breaking on the streets when breaking was raw, fresh, wild, and pure.
Our main Dj - Felix (Fusik) will be blessing the dance floor with hype beats, and live percussion and will keep the cyphers going until you can’t stand. Our MC, Artson will connect you with your highest self and make you want to dig deeper than you ever have before through his charisma and spiritual connection with the dance. When you realize you are ready for more, local talent DJ A-L and Mike Wird, will vibe out and keep you moving until late in the night. As the Battles progress the energy will only build as Ivan the Urban Action Figure will keep the party hype and keep you moving. This year’s judges are the authority on what’s REAL in breaking. El Nino, Mex One, and Data, will interpret your character and movement.
This year King of Hearts will diverge from the past Crew on Crew only battles and bring into focus the Queens of the scene with the FREESTYLE INVITE ONLY Top 8 Tournament - QUEEN OF HEARTS. King of Hearts is also expanding it's reach towards the next generation of breakers by hosting a Kids 1v1 battle for 14 and under (Sponsored by Generation BBoy, School of Breaking and Honey Rockwell).
