To help with our 2017 L.A TEAM fundraising we are holding an amazing 'FIND YOUR GROOVE' Competition & Dance Day!
This is an opportunity for all South-West dance companies to come, bond and of course; DANCE!
We have a great and fun line-up for you all including:
- SOLOS
- DUOS
- BATTLES (BREAKING, HOUSE & 2-V-2 ALL-STYLES)
- JUDGES' WORKSHOPS
- JUDGES' DEMOS
- CYPHERS
- CONTEMPORARY IMPROV SOLOS
- 'ME AGAINST THE MUSIC' CREW BATTLES
It is a competiton but prizes will be different as proceeds will be going to provide opportunities to young dancers. There will be Certificates, Medals, T-Shirts, Vouchers and other Awards!
There are LIMITED SPACES so please get numbers in ASAP. Dance teachers you can send us your numbers and entries via excel sheets or onine to our email: groovementproject@live.com. Please include dancers full name and D.O.B. We are accepting payments now to reserve spots but can reserve for a short time without payment whilst you are organising!
DOORS OPEN at 8.30AM with the comp starting at 9AM sharp. We have very imted numbers as this will be a fun and intimite comp. Because of this, it will be a predominantly standing event but if a spectator needs a chair then are welcome to bring their own along. :)
We will be working with Mrs Browns Cafe literally around the corner from the studios (2 minute walk).
They will be opening to provide hot and cold food and drinks from 8.30AM-4PM as well as some wonderful sweet treats! Perfect for lunches snacks and Coffee for the parents!
Currently we are just doing Beginner and Advanced sections but if numbers require it, we will add an Intermediate section.

11.45AM-12.15PM: JUDGE WORKSHOP - Hip-Hop with Jay.
12.30PM-2.00PM: BATTLES - Breaking (U16 & O16 B-Boys & B-Girls Categories), followed by House Battles (U16 & O16) and finished with 2-Vs-2 All Styles Battles (U16 & O16).
- PLEASE ENSURE YOU REGISTER SEPARATE FOR BATTLES TO SOLOS AND DUOS FOR THIS AND MAKE YOUR 2-VS-2 PARTNER CLEAR.
2.00PM-2.30PM: JUDGE WORKSHOP - Krump with Laurence.
2.30PM-2.40PM: JUDGES' DEMOS!
2.40PM-4.10PM: CONTEMPORARY IMPROV COMP (8 and Under, 10 and Under, 12 and Under, 14 and Under, 16 and Under, 17+)
