Welcome to "Break Street"!
-The summer is here B-Boys & B-Girls! The Midtown Farmers Market will be hosting market vendors and an Urban Agricutlure and Gardening Fair as a part of Open Streets Lake + Minnehaha and hosting "Break Street", a 4 vs. 4 breakdance battle in the middle of E. Lake Street! Lake Street and Minnehaha Ave. will be closed to traffic while open to pedestrians and bicyclists from Elliot Ave S. to Minnehaha Ave on Lake Street, and from Lake Street to Godfrey Pkwy on Minnehaha Ave. Make sure you arrive early and carpool/bike/walk in the spirit of "Open Streets". If you are battling, call time will be 11:30 AM sharp! If you don't register with Swellz by noon then you will not be able to battle, so be punctual.
-Break Street is a FREE event for all community members to come together and reimagine our streets and community gathering spaces. This is an all age(s) event and all are welcome. The Midtown Farmers Market will also be hosting a variety of produce, prepared food, arts and crafts vendors and food trucks, so come hungry!
