Rookie Ground is back again for the 4th year!
A small jam started out in 2014 as a platform to expose TPDE dancers to battle and gain experience prior to joining external competitions/jams. As battling is another way of improving the growth of the dancers, all TPDE dancers are encouraged to take part, as well as dancers that resided in TP. This allows them to have a taste of how it's like to compete and push themselves further more, instead of just doing choreography for showcases/performances in the club.
As this is an internal event, it is only open to TPDE/TP dancers. Dancers from other schools are allow to come down and vibe with us, as well as show support for your fellow bboys that are repping the school!

Prelims will be in BATTLE format, simply means 2 teams come out at one time and battle each other while the judges rate their throw downs.
For this year, there will be 3 categories:
1) 2vs2 BBoy
You guys can form your own team this time round, instead of drawing lots to pair up! Adding on, last year Bboy side winners will be seeded through straight as a team to the next round!
2) 2vs2 Allstyle
To allow dancers of all genres to be able dance to their style, this time round it will be an allstyle category! Poppers/Lockers/Waackers/House dancers are all strongly encouraged to grab a partner and join! Similarly, last year Hiphop side winner will be seeded through straight as a team to the next round!
3) Invitational Bboy 7-to-Smoke (Poly Editions)
8 Bboys from the polytechnics are invited for this category to represent their school and battle it out. Line-up will be up soon!
