Theme: Dream, discover and develop
Workshops:
The open session will feature: fashion and design session, reproductive health- interactive and participatory flash mobs, word play and creative writing, entrepreneurship and technology.
Hip-hop arts (dance, beat boxing, graffiti)
Two genres of dance workshops will be conducted – advance classes on breaking, afro- urban style by renowned dance tutors and choreographers
Theme discussion:
A participative – emcee role play “the power of the dream, the curiosity to discover and the force to develop” this model is adopted from the 5d model (designed by the center for creativity and capacity development) which actively engages participants in the discussion rather that just listeners but also give views, share ideas and knowledge on a particular topic in this case the importance to understand your self and how hip hop an individual to reach that ultimate goal.
Showcases and performance:
Will feature different guest artistes from around Uganda, emcees, dance crews, beat boxers and stand up comedy artists.
Battles:
THE ULTIMATE ONE ON ONE:
Top 8 breakers will be randomly paired to make four teams – four knock out stages leading to one intense round were the wining crew – breakers will have to go against each other for the ultimate prize
The hip hop all styles crew battle
Four different crew will go head to head and will have the audience judge this battle with the lens of two professional dancers(judges) against a criteria – foundation, choreography, battle and creativity.
Emcee den:
Top four emcees will be selected from the rap cyphers, two stages: cypher – bag (freestyle) and the battle den
Kids battle:
Top four kid breakers will battle in a two round battle format against each other for the big mickey prize.
Entrance: adults: 2000(ugx) , kids (freeshillings)
