RISE is a dance event with its basis in a tournament-style 2vs2 breaking battle. However, the underlying motivation for the battle is also sharing and imparting the culture of Breaking to kids and youths. Therefore, aside from the 2-on-2 battle, kids from four different dance schools are invited to join an exhibition battle, by way of which they can connect, share and learn in a cross-cultural exchange.
The 2-on-2 battle is a part of Copenhagen Street Festival - offering workshops, showcases and competitions within parkour, roller derby, basketball, rapping and skating, as well as breaking and related dance styles. Free treatment of minor injuries and osteopathic/physical therapy counseling with The Rehab will also be available at Copenhagen Skatepark.
