1 vs. 1 B-BOYS/B-GIRLS BATTLES & CREW vs. CREW KIDS BATTLES - KARNOBAT - 15/06/2019
KARNOBATTLE - Break battles - KARNOBAT 2019 is held within the sixth edition of “Balkan festival of arts Karnobat 2019”, 14-16.06.2019. Break battles are included in the festival program on 15th of June, 2019.

Break battles will consist of the following categories:
Adults (above 14 years old) - 1 vs. 1
Kids (up to 16 years old) - Crew vs. Crew

I. Adults category (above 14 years old)
Battles will be in 1 vs. 1 B-boys/B-girls format
1. Pre eliminations
The signed groups drawn by lot will perform break battles with two rounds from each B-boy/B-girl without direct elimination / judges will choose top 8 or top 16 B-boys/B-girls, depending on the number of participants.
2. Battles with direct elimination
The chosen 8 or 16 participants drawn by lot will play knockout battles one versus another. The winner is chosen explicitly by the judge by pointing with hand. In the case of a draw (making an X sign by crossing hands) follows a rematch - tie break - with one more round from each participant of both groups. Judges have no right to show the tie sign after that. Two tie signs and one hand point count as a tie.
- Quarter-finals and semi-finals will consist of two rounds by each dancer.
- Final battle will consist of three rounds by each dancer.
Kids category
II. Battles will be in Crew vs. Crew format (maximum number of kids in each group - 8 kids)
1. Pre eliminations
The registered groups drawn by lot play break battles with duration of 6 minutes without direct elimination. Judges will choose top 8 according to the number of participating groups. Only one routine or commando is allowed per group! Then, judges will choose the groups advancing to the next phase based on their skills and break battle strategies (toprocks, rocking, downrocks, go-downs, footwork, threads, transitions, powermoves, freezes, flow, burns, routines, musicality, technique, style and character of movements, coordination of the responses in space, etc.)
2. Battles with direct elimination
The 8 chosen groups drawn by lot play knockout battles versus each other. The winner is chosen explicitly by the judge by pointing with hand. The usage of items endangering the safety of participants and the crowd during the event is forbidden. Arrogant behavior, vulgar gestures and any kind of physical contact between the opponents with the intention of obstructing the dance performance of anyone during the competition is not allowed and leads to disqualification of the given group or participant.
