Multiple Choice: Underground Hip Hop Edition builds on the success of our event in August featuring Hip Hop legends and pioneers EPMD (Erick Sermon / Parrish Smith), local emcees and an open styles battle. This event will feature a 2vs2 breaking battle followed by a concert with R.A. the Rugged Man and A-F-R-O.
First up, starting at 4:00pm is a Bboy/Bgirl competition featuring local and national breakers. The competition format will be 2 vs. 2 with prize monies of up to $400, trophies and tickets to a future Multiple Choice event. There will be open dance cyphers all night, so you’ll have a chance to show off your moves even if you are not competing.
Or, join us at 8:00 p.m. when we take the battle to the stage for the semi-final and final round. Special guests, the Track Meet Cypher squad will showcase the lyrical talents of Pittsburgh based emcees freestyling before the final breaking battle. The night will conclude with a performance by current and future legends of hip-hop, R.A. the Rugged Man and A-F-R-O.
