Info:
Queen 16 is an international 1v1 bgirl event. The State is hosting the UK qualifier as part of the Audacious Women festival, and will invite 12 bgirls from around the country to compete. There will be 4 open spots to qualify for on the day. The winner will be awarded a place in the final battle in Leipzig, Germany in April 2017.
Post your name on the event page to sign up for the bgirl battle.
The main aim of the event is to improve the international network between bgirls. For that reason it makes sense to include as many international female dancers as possible, so a lot of exchange can happen. It also explains the necessity of qualifications in other countries such as Cameroon, Czech Republic, Russia, Sweden, Spain and Scotland. The best girls of each qualification country are representing at the final in Germany. With this festival and the combination of workshops, social exchange and a competition, we intend to strengthen the scene especially for females and give the bboys a chance to get to know more about bgirls in breaking, too.
But the event is not only about the girls. We consider it as important to include the men in the event as well with a battle. That is why beside the Queen16, there will be other battles for everyone that cannot enter the Queen16. More info to follow.
