THE ORIGINAL BATTLE FEST OF THE MIDWEST IN SUPPORT OF THE GREG LINDMARK FOUNDATION!
According to a Department of Veteran Affairs study, each day over 20 Veterans take their own lives due to PTSD. The same staggering number affect Civilian Police Officers. Last year 46 Officers were fatally shot, but more than triple that (140) committed suicide from PTSD. So this year Rockford and the Stateline will battle against Post Traumatic Stress Disorder!!!! Cars, Trucks, Bikes, Break Dancers, Barbers, and Cosmetologists are all Battle Ready to increase the resources needed.
Last year over 2,000 people were in attendance to witness the battle against domestic violence. This year you can show your support by attending, vending, or sponsoring this year's event!

Hair Competitions
Creative Freestyle Cut and Design with Overall look-- Team/Individual 15 entries (1 hour Limit) $15 entry fee
This is for any team or individual that wants to show off their artistry skills and creativity from simple to the most complex design. Teams will be judged on how creative and clean their cut/design is. No chemical application will be used during the competition, but you may pre-color with permanent color at least 24 hours before competition. There are to be no pre-cuts. You will be judged on the complexity, creativity, the design, and overall haircut. Total look competition is a category where the outfit and hair are judged equally. Your team total look can be anything from movies to sports or even musicians. Keep in mind the judges must know what your idea is portraying so make it something you think they will be familiar with. Teams are not regulated by profession. Max 3/Min 1
Creative Concept Style and Makeup with Overall look -- Team/Individual 10 entries (90min limit) $15 entry fee
This is for team or individual that wants to show off their artistry skills and creativity from simple to the most complex creative style and makeup design. There will be no pre-styling which includes curling or ironing. Hair may be blow dried before competition. Hair color may be done 24 hours before competition. Hair extensions may be used, but not entire pieces. Total look competition is a category where the outfit and hair are judged equally. Your team total look can be anything from movies to sports or even musicians. Keep in mind the judges must know what your idea is portraying so make it something you think they will be familiar with. Teams are not regulated by profession
Back 2 Basics with the Fastest Fade -- Open 20 entries (20min limit) $15 entry fee
This competition is for the fastest of the fast, the best of the best. The haircut must be finished within 20 minutes. Models must have at least a #2 length on top or higher, no pre-cut, no lines, no shape ups. Hair will be cut to no lower than a 1 1/2 on top to bald on sides. Barbers will be judged on the speed, blend of the fade, how tight the line is, and the overall cleanliness of the haircut. No licensing required for entry. No enhancements allowed!!!!!
