Cebu Styles and Soul Squad Presents: “Pop N’ Locktoberfest II”
Grand Prize of $1000 will be awarded to a RANDOMLY assembled crew. Pop N' Locktoberfest II will run similar to last years battle with a couple of exceptions. This time during the preliminaries you do not have to sign up under a specific style of dance. So, you do not have to stick with one style throughout the whole battle. The last change is something that happened in the original battle from South Korea that inspired Pop N' Locktoberfest. The crew that you enter after prelims can be ranging from 5 people to just you having to rep by yourself. So, your team of 5, 4, 3, or 2 can win and split the money, or you could win $1000 if you are placed by yourself. It's the luck of the draw, and the strength of the dancer that will decide!

There are numerous reasons why CurryPop wanted to bring this battle from South Korea to The States. There is an added energy to having dancers of different styles come together to win a competition. With this battle dancers of different crews and cities will now have an opportunity to work together for a win. Even more so, dancers of different levels could now be working together; a veteran of the scene might have to mentor an up-and-coming dancer, and an up-and-coming dancer might have to push their known limits to keep up with their crew. There are many different outcomes that can arise from this type of battle, but one thing is for sure: Fun will be had by all.
Like lastyear, proceeds of Pop N' Locktoberfest II will be going to The Above and Beyond Children's Foundation. A local nonprofit that funds afterschool programs for youth, and workshops in underprivileged communities.
