CALLING ALL FILIPINO DANCERS
MOOV Ottawa Dance and Tinig Pinoy Radio has teamed up to present the first Dance Battle at the Philippine Independence Day Picnic during the Entertainment Show celebrating Filipinx dancers!
WHAT: Dance Battle (1 vs 1 All Styles)
WHEN: Sunday June 9th, 2019
230-4PM
WHERE: Vincent Massey Park, Entertainment stage at the Bandstand
WHY: To celebrate Filipino dancers and our country’s Independence!
****WHO: Participants MUST be Dancers of Filipino heritage only - in celebration of our Culture! Dancers of all styles & genres welcomed (Hip Hop, Jazz, Breaking etc). Everyone is welcomed to spectate and enjoy the Filipino picnic - food, entertainment, music, and gorgeous weather!

HOW DOES A DANCE BATTLE WORK?
Our DJ will be playing a variety of music, ranging from Hip Hop, POP, Funk, Disco, and more. Our MC will facilitate the battle as our judge(s) will be picking the winner between our dancers. Two dancers will battle each other to music that the DJ chooses. Each dancers freestyles and battles the other participant to the allotted time frame (ex: 30 seconds). The following dancers “responds” and dances to the same song. The judges pick who won based on their criteria and one person will win at the end of the whole battle.

REGISTRATION:
Dancers participating must register online by June 1st, 2019. No registration will be done on event day.

1-4PM at the Bandstand
1PM-2PM: MANDATORY Dancer Check-In (Arrive between 1PM-2PM to check in at stage Bandstand. Check in CLOSES AT 2PM SHARP!)
230PM: Battles start
330/4PM: Finals
